Music

Our vision is to see students grow in their love of music, explore their God given talents, and have fun while being taught by quality, Christ-centred educators! All our teachers have a current Working With Children Check.

We offer affordable lessons to our community that ensure all children have the opportunity to learn, grow, develop and experience the joy of dance and music in a faith based, vibrant, safe and engaging environment.

Dance Classes

Hope Valley Dance is a faith based dynamic space for young people to be inspired, build friendships and learn creative dance moves! 

We provide classes from preschool to youth. You can expect our classes to have a welcoming atmosphere for the young person who is trying out dance for the first time. Several times a year we love to perform during our services at Hope Valley Church and at our end of year creative arts concert.

Classes are run during term time on a Tuesday afternoon.

Tiny Hip Hop | Kindy – Year 1 // 3:45-4:15 | In the COURT

Junior Hip Hop | Year 2 – 3 // 3:45-4:15 | In the Western Room

Upper Primary Hip Hop | Year 4 – 6 // 4:15-5:00| In the COURT

Highschool Hip Hop | Year 7+ // 5:00 - 6:00 | In the COURT

Meet our Teachers

I have completed my Grade 6 AMEB exam for cello, equivalent to year 12 standard. Other instruments I play are guitar, piano, bass guitar, and ukulele. I play basketball for the Hope Valley Heat club and tennis. I also enjoy mountain biking. I am currently studying environmental sciences.

My name is Ethan and I am very passionate about drums. I have been playing drums since 2019 and I have also had lessons as part of the Hope Valley Church Music School. My favourite genres of music are Rock and Christian, but I am open to other genres too. In my free time I like to build things in my shed, ride my bike, and play lots of drums!

I have been drumming since 2019 and joined the Hope Valley Music School team in 2025. I love to drum, play basketball, mountain bike, fish and kayak!

My name is Marcus and I am a musician. I play guitar, bass, drums, piano and sing. I am studying a Music Degree at Adelaide University - Classical Performance for Guitar. I am an energetic, supportive and encouraging young guy, with a passion for working with kids. I have experience working with kids as a youth leader, and have been a part of the worship team since 2018. I love all types of music and am excited to teach at Hope Valley Church.

My name is Sam, I am 15 years old, and I love to play guitar with my friends, at my school, for my church and youth bands, and for my own enjoyment! I love spending time in nature, eating good food, going on holidays, watching sports, playing sports, going to youth, and going to the beach! I have been learning guitar for seven years through the Hope Valley Church Music School, and am super excited to share my knowledge and passion as a teacher!

I’m Jedd and I absolutely love music. I have been playing piano since 2018 and became a teacher with the Hope Valley Music School in 2025. I also play flute and sing with my band, and in my free time I enjoy playing basketball and doing pushups, listening to rock and jazz music, and watching TV.

I have been dancing since a very young age. I am a hip-hop dancer and teacher. I have been teaching hip hop since 2018 and love to see children grow in their confidence, develop their dance skills and learn the joy of dance!
